Heat the oil in a non-stick kadhai and add mustard seeds and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds. When the seeds crackle, add urad dal and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds. When the dal crackles, add the curry leaves, red chilies, banana slices, turmeric powder, grated coconut and salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
