Prep Time: 20min Cook time: 35min Ingredients: 10Bread slices,1/2 literMilk,1/2 cupFresh cream, For the Sugar Syrup 1 CupWater,1 cupSugar,2 tablespoonsRose water,8 Almondsblanched and sliced,2 tablespoonsRaisins,1 tablespoonGhee, or oil, for frying bread slices, Instructions: In a deep pan, add water and enough sugar and Stir continuously and cook till tiny little bubbles are seen on the surface of the syrup and this indicates that the syrup is ready and once done, keep it aside to cool. In a deep pan add milk, cream and cook on a low flame and cook until it becomes half its quantity and the milk is thick and creamy. Make sure you keep string the milk occasionally else it will stick to the bottom of the pan and can get burnt and once done, turn off the flame. Take the bread and cut each slice diagonally into two and heat oil in a skillet and shallow fry the bread slices, turn them occasionally and fry until they turn golden brown on both sides and once done, turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool. Preheat the oven to 180 C and take a rectangular baking tray and grease it evenly with ghee or oil and arrange the bread slices in the baking tray in such a way, so that the entire tray is filled. Pour in the milk mixture, rose water and sugar syrup over the bread slices evenly and keep this aside for five minutes, so that the bread slices can soak all the liquids. Sprinkle the almonds and raisins on top of the bread and cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake it in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the liquids are almost dried up and thicken and once done remove from the oven. Double Ka Meetha is traditional and authentic sweet dish recipe from Hyderabadi cuisine. This dish gets its richness from the rose water and dry fruits. This dish is perfect for any occasion and it also has a wonderful flavor and a nice aroma. This crunchy dry fruit topping gives a special taste to this dish.  

Ingredients
