For the Salad Put the carrots in ice-cold water for 10 minutes and drain it thoroughly. Put the lettuce in ice-cold water for 10 minutes and drain it thoroughly. Break off the individual lettuce leaves into bite size pieces and prepare a bed of the leaves in a serving bowl. Spread the grated carrots in the middle and sprinkle the chopped dates and toasted almonds over the carrots and put this in the refrigerator. Serve cold with the dressing in a separate bowl. Carrot and Dates Salad are the good source of iron, vitamin C, calcium and carbohydrate which is the source of instant energy. It will boost you up instantly. It makes a great snacks. Let’s follow this crunchy salad recipe.  

Ingredients

  • 2 cupsgrated carrot
  • 1head lettuce
  • 1/3 cupchopped dates (khajur)
  • 10-15chopped and roasted almonds (badam)

For The Dressing Honey and lemon dressing

  • 3/4 cuphoney
  • 3 tbsplemon juice
  • 1/2 tspfreshly crushed black pepper

Directions
