Add methi leaves, red chili powder, hing, turmeric powder, caraway seeds, crushed coriander seeds, and salt and mix it well. Add water very slowly and make a thick batter and once it is done, adjust the spice and salt according to your taste. Pour the oil in a pan on medium flame and once it is hot enough, use a greased spoon or wet hands to drop small pakoras (or bite sized pieces) into the hot oil and be sure not to overcrowd the frying pan (or kadhai). Fry on medium flame and fry till golden brown and drain the pakoras on the kitchen towel. Serve the Methi Pakoras with hot masala chai. Ingredients

  • 1 cupGram flour (besan)
  • 1/4 cupRice flour
  • Saltto taste
  • 1/2 cupFenugreek Leaves ( Methi)
  • 1 teaspoonRed chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonAsafoetida (hing)
  • 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
