Prep Time: 30min Cook time: 20min Ingredients: 1 cupsooji/rava,¼ cupfinely chopped onions,1 to 2green chilies, chopped,½ teaspoonfinely chopped ginger/adrak,2 to 3 tablespoonschopped coriander leaves/dhania patta,¼ teaspoonajwain/carom seeds or cumin seeds/jeeras,a pinchof red chili powder/lal mirch powder,a pinchof turmeric powder/haldi,saltas required,1.25 cupswater,oilas required, Instructions: In a bowl add 1 cup fine sooji/rava and 1 cup water and mix it very well and allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rava will absorb much of the water and will become very soft and then add coriander leaves, ajwain, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, ginger, and green chili and the remaining ¼ cup water and mix it very well and the batter should have a slightly medium thick consistency. Heat a pan and spread a bit of oil and pour a ladle of the batter and gently spread the batter on the pan to make small to medium chillas and the pan should be on a low flame when you pour and spread the Cheela batter. Otherwise, you won't be able to spread the batter easily and just lightly spread the batter to a neat round shape and don't try to spread too much as the Cheelas will break. Let the sooji Cheela cook on a low to medium flame and when the top of the chilla looks cooked, then sprinkle some oil on the sides and top with the spoon, spread the oil all over and fry from both the side.
