It is perfect for morning breakfast Prep Time: 9hour Cook time: 30min Ingredients: For The Dosa Batter 1 cupraw short-grained rice (chawal) / par-boiled rice (ukda chawal),1/3 cupurad dal (split black lentils),5 to 7fenugreek (methi) seeds,1 tbsprice flakes(optional), soaked and drained,To tasteSalt,1 tbspbesan (Bengal gram flour), Other Ingredients 1/4 tspoil for greasing,4 tspoil for cooking, Instructions: For the dosa batter Clean, wash and soak the rice in enough water for at least 3 to 4 hours and also clean, wash and soak the urad dal and fenugreek seeds together in enough water for at least 3 to 4 hours. Drain the rice, add the rice flakes, a little water (approx. ¼ cup of water) and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste. Drain the urad dal and fenugreek seeds, add a little water (approx. 1 tbsp of water) and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste. In a bowl add the rice paste and urad dal paste, mix it well and cover it with a lid and allow it to ferment in a warm place for at least 6 to 8 hours. After 6-8 hours add ½ cup of water, salt, and besan and mix it well and keep it aside. How to proceed Pour ¼Th of the batter on the greased non- stick tawa (griddle)(refer the tips below) and spread in a circular motion to make a 225 mm. (9") thin dosa. Smear 1 tsp of oil over it and cook till the dosa turns brown in color and crisp. Fold over to make a semi-circle or a roll and place the dosa on a plate and serve it with coconut chutney and sambar. Tips 1. Before making the dosa grease the non-stick tawa with ¼ tsp of oil and wipe with a slice of onion or potato and sprinkle a little water on it and wipe off using a piece of cloth.2. Ingredients

For The Dosa Batter

  • 1 cupraw short-grained rice (chawal) / par-boiled rice (ukda chawal)
  • 1/3 cupurad dal (split black lentils)
