In a deep pan, add enough water, 1 tbsp of oil and salt and then add the rice to the boiling water and cook till the rice is 90% cooked. Switch off the flame and drain the water from the rice and keep it aside. How to proceed Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and dry roast the red chilies on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and switch off the flame. In a blender, add the roasted red chilies, garlic and 2 tbsp of water and blend to a smooth paste and keep it aside. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute. Add the red chili-garlic paste and saute on a medium flame for 1 minute. Add the french beans, potatoes, carrots, green peas and capsicum, mix well and fry on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Add the tomatoes, mix it nicely and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute. It is a flavorful, mouth-watering one pot rice dish which is perfect for weeknight dinner. This dish is very tempting, colorful and flavorful. This dish is perfect for your kids, as it is loaded with nutrients. You can relish the easy and tasty dish with any side dish or can serve it just like that.  

Ingredients

  • 5garlic (lehsun) cloves
