In a blender add soaked yellow moong dal, ¼ cup of water, and green chilies and blend to a coarse mixture. Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl, add the cabbage, onions, asafoetida, besan, baking soda, lemon juice, coriander, and salt and mix it well and divide the mixture into equal portions. Place a bread slice on a clean, dry surface and spread a portion of the dal mixture evenly over it. Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and grease it with oil and place each open bread on the tawa (griddle) with the topping side facing downwards.
