You can stop cooking once desire consistency reached, just make sure to cook on slow flame and stir regularly. Switch off the flame, let it cool slightly and store in airtight container and relish it when ever you want. Tips Pour few drops of jam in a plate, if it's spreads then it's not ready, if it's stays firm without moving then your jam is ready.
