Tasty Chicken Roll Recipe
Chicken Roll is a popular Indian street food which you can easily prepare at home. This is a favorite snack for non- vegetarian lovers. This is an easy recipe perfect for any special occasion.
- 250 gmChicken Boneless without skin cut in small pieces
- 1 1/2 tbspTandoori masala
- 2 tspSalt
- 2 tspChili powder
- 1 tspTurmeric
- 1 tbspGinger garlic Paste
- 2medium Onion thinly sliced (long)
- 1 tbspLime juice
- for garnishingCoriander Leaves
- for garnishingChat masala
- 1/2 tspButter
- 1 Cupmaida
- for kneadingHot water
- Salt1 tsp
- Oilto cook
For the stuffing
- In a bowl add chicken pieces, tandoori masala, salt, chili powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Cover with a lid and marinate for 2 hours and put in the fridge.
- In a kadhai heat oil, when hot add the marinated chicken and cover with the lid and cook for 10 min.
- Keep stirring to avoid burning, if it sticks to kadhai sprinkle little water and after it gets cooked remove from the flame and add 1/2 tsp of butter and keep it aside to cool.
For the roti:
- In a bowl add flour, salt, and hot water as needed and knead a soft dough and Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and keep it aside.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out one portion of the dough into a circle of 75 mm. (3") diameter and cook on a tawa using oil and fry it nicely and keep it aside.
- Now on a hot roti arrange some cooked chicken pieces in a row (make this line little apart from the center).
- Drizzle some lemon juice all over the chicken pieces, garnish with some sliced onion, chat masala and chopped coriander leaves.
- Roll the roti firmly, and wrap one-half of the roll with tissue paper and fold the bottom part of the tissue paper inside the roll.
- Serve it.
