It is perfect for any occasion Prep Time: Cook time: Ingredients: 1 cuptoor dal, pressure cook until soft and mash it lightly,1onion finely chopped,2large tomatoes, finely chopped,3-4green chili slit length wise,1ginger, finely chopped,1/4 tspturmeric powder, For tempering/tadka: 1 tbspoil,1/2 tspmustard seeds,1/2 tspcumin seeds,3-4dried red chili (tear into pieces),5-6garlic flakes crushed OR 1/4 tsp asafoetida/hing, Instructions: Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, add mustard seeds, let them pop, add the cumin seeds, garlic, red chili, and curry leaves and fry for few secs. Add the chopped onions, green chilies and ginger and fry till onions turn slightly pink. Add chopped tomatoes and stir fry for 4-5 min and add the turmeric powder and salt and mix it nicely. Add the cooked and mashed dal to the onion-tomato mixture and add 1 cup of water and cook for another 10 min on low flame and switch off the flame. Ingredients

  • 1 cuptoor dal, pressure cook until soft and mash it lightly
