Once cooled, peel and roughly chop the beetroot and in a blender add the beetroot and 2 tbsp of water and blend to a smooth paste. In a bowl add the beetroot paste, wheat flour, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Knead into a stiff dough and divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion of the dough into a 75 mm. (3”) diameter circle. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few puris at a time on a medium flame and fry till they turn golden brown in color from all the sides.
