For the filling In a blender add the dal, 1/4 salt, and chilies and blend into a coarse paste. In a wok or frying pan heat 1 tablespoon oil and add hing (Asafoetida) and now add ginger and let it splutter. Add the dal paste and fry it and add turmeric powder and red chili powder and cook till the dal starts leaving the sides of the pan. Remove from flame and keep it aside it cool. How to proceed Take a portion of a dough and flatten the portion in your palm and put a small amount of the prepared filling in the center and seal it and with a rolling pin flatten the balls so that it does not break. Tasty Hing Kachori Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cupsMaida (Refined flour)
  • 1/2 cupSkinned Urad Dal (Black Grams) (soaked overnight)
  • 2/3 nosChilies
  • 1/2 tablespoonHing (Asafoetida
  • 100 gmGinger (grated)
  • 1/2 tablespoonSalt
  • 1/2 cupOil to fry
  • 1/4 tablespoonHaldi (turmeric) powder
  • 1/4 tablespoonRed chili powder

Directions
