Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and Kashmiri red chilies and fry on a medium flame for a few seconds. Add the onions, french beans, carrot and salt and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Add 2 tbsp water, mix it well and cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes and stir occasionally. Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cupschopped french beans
  • 3/4 cupchopped carrot
  • 1/4 cupfreshly grated coconut
  • 1/4 cupturmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1 tspchili powder
  • 1/4 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 tspcrushed garlic (lehsun)
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
  • 1 tspurad dal (split black lentils)
  • 5 to 6curry leaves (kadi patta)
  • 2whole dry Kashmiri red chilies, broken into pieces

Directions
