Prep Time: Cook time: Ingredients: 1 cupChana Dal,1 cupJaggery,1 teaspoonCardamom powder,1 cupOil,1 cupRice,½ cupUrad dal, Instructions: Soak rice and urad dal in water for about 4 to 6 hours Place them in a blender and blend into smooth thick batter Add required salt and mix it well Wash dal with water and add double the amount of water Pressure cook it till 3 whistles under medium flame and off the flame Allow it to cool for some time Place the cooked dal and jaggery in a blender and blend them perfectly Place a pan on heat and add the chana paste to it Add little water to it and mix it well Cook on low flame so that you can make balls out of it Off the flame and add cardamom powder to it Stir it well and cool it for some time Make lemon size balls out of it and keep them aside on a plate Place a pan on flame and add oil for deep frying the balls Dip the chana dal balls in thick batter and directly place them in oil. Fry them till they turn golden brown in color Remove them on oil absorbent paper and continue the same process with the remaining stuff Transfer them on serving plate and serve it after having it as naivedyam to God. -Neelima

Ingredients

  • 1 cupChana Dal
  • 1 cupJaggery
  • 1 teaspoonCardamom powder
  • 1 cupOil
  • 1 cupRice
  • ½ cupUrad dal

Directions

  • Soak rice and urad dal in water for about 4 to 6 hours
  • Place them in a blender and blend into smooth thick batter
  • Add required salt and mix it well

  • Pressure cook it till 3 whistles under medium flame and off the flame
