Knead into a firm dough using water as required and cover with a wet muslin cloth and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a 100 mm. (4") diameter circle Bhatura. Heat the oil in a kadhai on a medium flame and deep-fry the Bhatura till they puff up and are golden brown in color on both the sides. Drain on absorbent paper and serve it hot with chana masala. Masala Bhatura is mouth-watering, spicy, exotic dish from Punjabi cuisine. This Bhatura is a tasty and innovative version of regular plain Bhatura. It perfect for weekend breakfast. This crispy puffed Bhatura makes an excellent combination with chole masala.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
