Cover it with a plate and keep it aside for about 10 minutes Divide the dough into small parts and roll them into round balls Place a pan on flame and add oil to it for frying gulab jamun Place the glab jamun in the frying pan and fry them till they turn dark brown in color As the gulab jamun will expand about double the size, so it is better to give enough space in the pan while frying Once the gulab jamun are fried exactly in the oil, remove them and place them in a separate plate Let them cool for some time before placing them in hot syrup Then place them in hot syrup and let them sit for about 20 minutes prior to serving. Fry the jamun on low flame because they get harder inside if you cook on high flame. Do not add too much of baking soda as they turn soft and break after adding in sugar solution.
