Boil water add the cauliflower florets first and when it is half cooked then add peas and cook till both are until soft yet crunchy enough to bite and drain the water from it and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan add cinnamon, cloves, and fennel seeds and then add ginger garlic paste, onions, saute till it turns slightly brown. Then add tomato puree and cook until the raw smell completely leaves and add red chili, garam masala, dhania powder, salt, and mix it well and cook till raw smell of tomato leaves. Add cooked gobi and peas, give a quick stir and sprinkle a little water and cover with a lid and cook until the gravy thickens and becomes semi gravy and the masala are well blended with the veggies. Switch off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve it hot with jeera rice. Notes: As an alternative you can even add a tbsp of grated coconut while frying the onions or even grind it together with tomatoes to get more gravy. If you are planning to have a typical Indian curry for lunch, then try this Gobi Matar curry which is an authentic tasty Indian dish. This curry not only tasty but also healthy. This dish can be served with any Indian bread or steam rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 cupCauliflower (cut into sized florets)
  • 1/3 cupFresh Green Peas
