Prep Time: 5min Cook time: 10min Ingredients: 1 TbspCumin Seeds (Jeera),1 CupLong Grained Rice (Basmati),1 TbspOil,1 TbspGhee,To TasteSalt,1 TbspFinely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania), Optional,1 TbspMelted Butter, Instructions: In a bowl soak the rice in enough water, cover it with a lid and keep it aside for 30 minutes and after 30 min drain the water from the rice and keep it aside. In a deep non-stick pan pour enough water and add salt and rice and mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes and stir occasionally. Switch off the flame and strain the water from the rice with the help of a strainer and transfer it to a flat plate and spread it evenly with a help a flat ladle and keep it aside to cool completely. Heat a broad non-stick pan and add the oil and ghee and add the cumin seeds and fry it on a medium flame for 10 seconds. Switch off the flame, add the cooked rice, a little salt, and coriander leaves and mix it gently. Switch on the flame and cook it on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes and toss it gently and add 1 tbsp of melted butter and mix it gently and cook it for few minutes and switch off the flame. Jeera Rice is a simple rice dish which very popular in the restaurants. This dish can be prepared in just a few minutes with few ingredients. This versatile rice dish can be served with any side dish. It is perfect for lunch or dinner.  

Ingredients

  • 1 TbspCumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 CupLong Grained Rice (Basmati)
  • 1 TbspOil
  • 1 TbspGhee
  • To TasteSalt
  • 1 TbspFinely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania), Optional
  • 1 TbspMelted Butter
