Directions

  • Place chana dal, grated coconut, green chili, garlic, salt in a blender
  • Add 4 tablespoons of water and blend it to smooth paste
  • Remove the chutney to a small bowl
  • Place a pan on flame and add oil to it
  • Once the oil is heat, add mustard seeds and let them crackle for few seconds
  • Add cumin seeds and chana dal
  • Fry them till chana dal turns golden brown in color
