Preheat an iron skillet on medium heat and divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion into a 4-inch diameter circle and place the rolled dough on the heated skillet on medium flame. Cook the rolled portion of the bhakri and lightly press it by using a wooden press, so the insides cook evenly. Cook ,till golden brown spots appear on both the sides and the bhakri. turns crisp. Gujarati Style Bhakri Recipe

Bhakri is a popular flat bread of Gujarat. This bhakri is crispy, soft and tasty. This dish can be had just like that or with any side of your choice. You can also serve this for breakfast or pack in lunch box. Follow this recipe.  

Ingredients

  • 1 CupWhole Wheat Flour
  • 1 CupJowar Flour (Sorghum)
  • 4 TablespoonsGhee
  • 2 TeaspoonsCarom Seeds (Ajwain), Or Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 TeaspoonRed Chili Powder, (Optional)
  • 1/4 TeaspoonDry Ginger Powder, (Optional)
  • To TasteSalt

Directions
