Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a 63 mm. (2½”) round flat tikki. Lightly grease a non-stick tawa (griddle) with oil and place the tikki, brush a little oil and cook till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides. Serve it with green chutney. Healthy Oats Moong Dal Tikki Recipe

This Oats Moong Dal Tikki is a delicious combination of oats, moong dal, and spices.  It is crisp from outer and soft from inside. It makes an excellent starter recipe and a perfect for any occasion. This tikki is rich in protein and an ideal snack for kids.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupYellow moong dal (split yellow gram)
  • 1/2 cupQuick cooking rolled oats
  • 2 tbspFresh curds (dahi)
  • 3 tbspGrated onions
  • 1/2 tspFinely chopped green chilies
  • 2 tspChaat masala
  • 2 tspChili powder
  • 1/4 tspGaram masala
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1 tspGinger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
  • 2 tbspFinely chopped coriander (dhania)
  • 1/4 cupGrated dried coconut
