Soft and Simple Ajwaini Roti Recipe

Ajwaini Roti is a simple Indian flat bread prepared with wheat flour and carom seeds (ajwain). Carom helps in improving the digestion and hence this simple and tasty roti is best served with any side dish. This roti is perfect for morning breakfast and can be packed in the lunch box.

Ingredients

  • 1 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
  • 1/2 tspcarom seeds (ajwain)
  • 2 tspoil
  • saltto taste

Other Ingredients

  • whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
  • gheefor cooking

Directions

  • In a bowl add wheat flour, carom seeds, 2 tsp of oil, and salt and mix it well and mix it well.
  • Add enough water and knead into a soft dough and cover the dough with a muslin cloth and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 min, roll out each portion of the dough into a 175 mm. (7”) diameter circle and dust a little whole wheat flour over it.
