Saute the eggs in them so that they get evenly coated. In a pan heat some oil and add all the whole spices. Once it starts crackling, add the onion (cut into julienne) and saute till the onions are caramelized. Add the eggs with basmati rice to this pan and saute the entire mixture. Add remaining ground spices. Add two cups of water (twice of the rice) and bring to a boil. Add chopped cilantro, mint and raisins (or cranberries, if you prefer) to the boiling mix. Easy Egg Biryani Recipe

Egg Biryani is easy, delicious and flavorful Biryani that one can make at home with few ingredients. Best to prepare when running short of time. A simple raita like onion raita or a mint raita goes great with Biryani.

Ingredients

Whole spices:

  • 3 noscloves
  • 1ea black and green cardamom
  • 10 nosblack peppercorns
  • 1medium sized cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbspcumin
  • 2bay leaves (tej patta)

Ground Spices:

  • 1/4thTurmeric
  • 1 tbspcumin
  • 1 tbspcoriander
  • 1 tspgaram masala
