Easy and Tasty Coriander Rice Recipe
Coriander Rice recipe is a flavorful and colorful looking rice dish which is a perfect dish for your weekend dinner. This dish has a nice flavor and also has a nice aroma of coriander leaves. This dish can be very easily prepared at your home within few minutes. This dish perfect when you have a sudden guest at your home. Let’s follow this easy and tasty rice recipe.
- 1 1/2 cupsChopped coriander (dhania)
- 1 1/2 cupsLong grained rice (basmati), soaked for 10 minutes and drained
- 2 tbspOil
- 4Whole black peppercorns (kalimirch)
- 1Small stick cinnamon (dalchini)
- 4Cloves (laung / lavang)
- 1 cupSliced onions
- Saltto taste
For The Garnish
- 1/4 cupdeep-fried sliced onions(in a pan, add oil and deep fry the onion till golden brown in color)
- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add the peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and onions and fry on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the rice and fry on a medium flame for 3 minutes and add 3 cups of hot water and salt, mix it well and cook for 25 min.
- Once done, switch off the flame and allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Transfer the rice in a deep bowl, add the chopped coriander and mix it gently by using a fork so that the rice grains do not break.
- Garnish with fried onions and serve it with any raita of your choice.
