Add this tempering and coconut to the rice-semolina mixture and mix it well. How to proceed Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and grease it lightly with oil and sprinkle a little water on it and wipe it off gently using a muslin cloth. Pour ½ cup batter evenly on the tawa (griddle), brush a little oil and cook it on a high flame and cook till it turns golden brown in color and fold over to make a semi-circle or a roll. Crispy Onion Rava Dosa is a popular South Indian Breakfast dish. It is a savory crepe made from semolina ( rava) and flavored with green chilies, onions and cumin seeds. This dosa is crispy, tasty, and spicy. Try this mouth-watering dosa recipe at your home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cupsliced onions
  • 1 cupsemolina (rava / sooji)
  • 1 cuprice flour (chawal ka atta)
  • 1/4 tspbaking soda
  • saltto taste
  • 1 tbspghee
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
  • 6curry leaves (kadi patta)
  • 2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
  • a pinchof asafoetida (hing)
  • 2 tbspgrated coconut (nariyal)
  • 11 tspoil for greasing and cooking

Directions

For the Batter
